Double row tapered roller bearing

Double row tapered roller bearings are mainly used to withstand the combined radial and axial loads, mainly radial loads. It can limit the axial displacement of the shaft (or shell) in both directions, so it can be used as a bidirectional axial positioning bearing.

The performance of outward facing double row tapered roller bearings (TDO type) is similar to that of two single row tapered roller bearings installed back-to-back. However, double row tapered roller bearings have a small number of parts, are easy to install and disassemble, and have good rigidity. Therefore, they are mostly used in fields that withstand alternating loads, such as reducers and coilers.

The performance of the inward type double row tapered roller bearing (TDI type) is similar to that of two single row tapered roller bearings installed face to face. Compared with the outward type double row tapered roller bearing (TDO type), it has smaller installation space but slightly lower rigidity, and is often used as a positioning end bearing to withstand moderate loads.

There is a spacer between the two inner rings of the outward type double row tapered roller bearing (TDO type), and a spacer between the two outer rings of the inward type double row tapered roller bearing (TDI type). The radial and axial clearance of the bearing can be adjusted by changing the thickness of the spacer.
